If you're looking for a breakfast place and in the mood for some delicious breakfast, Dougs place is your place to go! With their generous side portions, friendly staff, and fast service, I always recommend Dougs place to all my friends and family. Here I got the veggie omelette and it was amazing! This place can get packed on the weekends but I feel right at home! 10/10 recommend!

I woke up with a craving for Chicken Fried Steak and Doug's Place satisfied that need in a big way. I went early on a Sunday morning, was able to seat myself right away and the service was friendly and efficient. The tables are nicely spaced out so that you don't feel like you are sitting on top of the next table, like a lot of restaurants. The food came out in that perfect time frame where you know that everything wasn't just microwaved. I will be back frequently.

My wife and I have come to Doug's place since we moved to the area and each time we had a pleasant experience. So far we've tried some their omelets, classic breakst and pancakes. The portions are big and sometimes you can share with someone else. Their specialty is o omelets so they have some great choices. I enjoy their classic breakfast and it comes with a delicious hashbrown and a lot of bacon. Service is also excellent. Fast and always friendly. Restaurant is was busy during our visit, but we were seated pretty quick since they have a lot of tables. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also pretty chill and old school. All in all, if you are craving some good breakfast at a good price and good portion and good options Doug's place is the place.

This place is always so busy! But the service is quick. Staff is very nice. The kids love the pancakes here. Love the corn beef hash here. Parking lot gets really busy as it's shared with multiple businesses. Did not love their jelly options for the toast. Grape or mixed berries.

Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 8am. It wasn't too busy but it took awhile for the waiter to come by our table to take our order. Cozy ambiance-- felt like I was in someone's living room, in a good way! Omelettes are good and hashbrowns are nice and crispy.

Castro Valley classic that's been here forever. I don't come here much, maybe every couple years but each time I come there's great service. Food is relatively good quality and very filling. The wait to be seated and also get our food was super fast-- we were seated immediately and also got our food less than 10 mins after we ordered. Overall a great Castro valley staple and a great place to get affordable, quick, and filling breakfast food.

Great value! Large portions and quick service. This place gets busy but I will say that when I visited the wait for a table went fairly fast. I tried some of their newest items like the concha French toast and mazapan pancakes. The concha French toast was pretty tasty. I personally thought the mazapan pancakes were too sweet. So. skip this if you don't have much of a sweet tooth. The inside of the restaurant is outdated but I think that's the vibe. Cute, but they could benefit from dusting the place.
